6. The "Anne" series by Lucy M. Montgomery
Publishers might have refused to publish this series when Lucy handed the manuscript of Anne Of Green Gables, but readers certainly don't think that way. Including myself, it is very well-written, and I LOVE the descriptions of Prince Edward Island! I certainly find that Lucy's style of describing the beauty of the Island is second to none, I read the book and I wanted to live there! I love Anne Shirley too, the tenacious and imaginative red-haired orphan girl who just needed some love to blossom. I like how she sees the world and appreciates the simple beauty of her life. I also like the fact that she, like all of us, has her own faults. A lot of books tend to veer towards a perfect character, flawless and does everything beautifully without a mistake. News flash, readers don't really like it. We want something that we can relate to, not just another perfect person, so Anne, with her hot temper and hilarious slip-ups, is what most of us readers love about her.
7. The "Harry Potter" series by J.K.Rowling
This has taken the writing world by storm when they were published. The world has certainly gained loads of people who has taken a fancy to reading after being influenced by this series. I, during my naive years, didn't like reading Harry Potter because - immaturity strikes - I was a huge judge of book covers, and any book that doesn't LOOK appealing will be instant dislike. After watching the movie, I got hold of the books and voila! I am hooked! I can't get enough of Harry Potter, and I've been wishing for my Hogwarts acceptance letter every Christmas! An owl swoops by and I get an instant rush, especially when owls are uncommon in Malaysia. -LOL-
**** My cousin, who is also a huge fan of Harry Potter, wrote a comical piece on his school's magazine of how he's waiting for the letter too and how he has been able to spark magic since a young age. He said that the owls must have no clue where Malaysia is and that's why we didn't get our letter. (I suggested him to send some pigeons to Hogwarts, but the pigeons didn't return. ) =D
8. Kiss Heaven Goodbye by Tasmina Perry
If you are travelling to places that involves sun, sandy beaches, the ocean, basically anything tropical, then this book can be considered as the characters in the book are also on vacation. I don't have much comment on this book, but if you are a very uptight sort of person, very conservative, then please refrain from reading this as detailed descriptions of intercourse can be spotted throughout the book.
9. House Rules by Jodi Picoult
After I've finished this book, I've gained a remarkable amount of insight into a mind of an Aspie kid. This kid with Asperger, Jacob Hunt, is obsessed with forensics. He can spout endless information about his favourite subject. The irony is that his love of forensics accidentally charged him with murder. Reading this book has also made me think about the legal system in America doesn't really take anything personal into account. It, of course, put me off the notion of being a lawyer - LOL - I really liked the part where Oliver, the lawyer, came into the story. I like how witty he is and how the romance between him and Emma Hunt, Jacob's mother, sparked. Read this book and get shaken and stirred.=)
10. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
This book is astounding beyond belief. In comparison to say, books like Jane Austen, which requires a focused mind, this book is a relief for one's brain. I've often find that when I'm tired, the classics don't make the cut as light reading, however, Little Women certainly is enjoyable for people who want to read the classics and refrain from straining their exhausted brains!

These books are what keeps me going during vacation. When you're on holiday, nothing could be more enjoyable than reading a good book and chill. Hope you guys like it!
